C.O.P.E. Summer School - 2008

application for summer school

Dates: June 16th, 2007 through July 18th (no school on July 4th)
Days: Monday through Friday
Time: 8:30 am until 11:30 am
Location: 1055 Cornell, Ypsilanti (between Washtenaw and Huron River Drive), Fletcher
School.
Eligible Students: Washtenaw County Residents entering grade 10, 11, or 12 in September of
2007.
Credits offered: Each student may take one academic class, equal to a one semester class in High
School, to earn 1/2 credit.
Classes: Each student will take two hours per day of either American History or Math (prealgebra,
or algebra). In addition, each student must participate for one hour per day in our “Life
Skills” curriculum (basic living skills, substance abuse prevention, violence prevention).
Transportation: Students must provide their own transportation.
Attendance requirements: Students missing more than three days total will not earn credit.
Cost: Free!
Number of students: Each class will accommodate 8 students (8 math students, 8 history
students). Once a class is full the class will be closed to additional enrollments.
Behavioral expectations: Any behavioral issues, disruption, or disrespect will result in removal
from the summer school program.

Ypsilanti, Mi, 48197, or fax to 734-547-0521. Applications may also be hand delivered to 1055
Cornell, Ypsilanti.
